Postdoctoral scholar position available for fuel cell and microfluidics
A postdoctoral scholar position is available from August 2007 at the new Power Microfluidics Laboratory at the Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics department of Michigan Tech (http://www.me.mtu.edu/). Dr. Dennis Desheng Meng has gained strong support from the school to join the faculty of Michigan Tech and establish the Power Microfluidics Laboratory, which will exploit micro and nano technology to address the fundamental and practical issues of advanced energy systems. Energy research has just gained momentum and is expected to be the next most important global technical thrust area. A doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related field is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate hand-on experience and research record in electrochemistry or closely-related areas (such as fuel cell, battery, and electroforming), strong motivation, enthusiasm for research, and good communication skill in English. Expertise in micro fabrication or catalyst synthesis is a plus.
