一. 课题组简介:

课题组负责人闫政博士将于2017年8月入职新加坡南洋理工大学电力与电子工程学院,建立柔性材料及可穿戴电子器件课题组。现招聘博士后和博士研究生各两名,希望能够2017年秋或2018年春入职入学。也积极欢迎访问学生和学者加入课题组。

闫政博士2013年于美国莱斯大学James M. Tour教授课题组取得博士学位。2014-2017年在美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校John A. Rogers教授课题组从事博士后研究。闫博士多年来一直从事二维材料和柔性电子器件等领域的研究,在Science、Nature、ScienceAdvances、Nature Communications、PNAS、JACS、Advanced Materials、Nano Letters、ACS Nano、Advanced Functional Materials等国际著名期刊上发表科研论文40余篇,包括Science的封面文章;论文总引用次数超过4000次,h因子为29。

新加坡南洋理工大学近年来发展迅速,在最新一期QS世界大学排名中,亚洲排名第一,世界排名11;特别是电力与电子工程学院(EEE)有非常高的科学研究水平,根据最新一期QS世界大学专业排名,EEE世界排名第六。感兴趣的同学可以参看学校的网页: www.ntu.edu.sg(School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) 。


二.博士研究生招聘要求(两名):

要求:近3年内获得电子、物理、材料科学等相关领域的本科或硕士学位,学习成绩优异;勤奋努力、热爱科学研究并有志于做出杰出成果; 有较好的英语读写能力; 有科研经历并发表过高水平论文者优先考虑。


三.博士后招聘要求(两名):

要求:近5年内获得电子、物理、材料科学等相关领域的博士学位; 勤奋努力、具有独立的科研能力、热爱科学研究并有志于做出世界级的杰出成果; 有较好的英语读写能力; 在国际知名杂志发表过高水平论文2~3篇以上。有下列一个或二个专长者优先考虑:(1) 电子、光电子器件的制备和测试; (2) 二维材料或有机半导体材料的制备和表征; (3) 柔性电子器件的制备和测试。

Ph.D. and Postdoc Positions in Soft Materials and Electronics at Nanyang Technological University

We are a research group of scientists and engineers working on soft materials and electronics in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). We are looking for highly self-motivated and hard-working Ph.D. students and postdoc researchers from electronic engineering, physics, materials science or related fields. The expected starting time is Fall, 2017 or Spring, 2018. We are also welcoming visiting students and scholars with engineering and science background to join our group.

Nanyang Technological University is a research-intensive university ranked 11th globally by the 2017 QS World University Ranking. The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (http://www.eee.ntu.edu.sg) at NTU is one of the best EEE schools in the world and ranks 6th in the field of Electrical & Electronic Engineering in the 2017 QS World University Rankings by Subjects.


1. The Introduction to Our Research Group

Biology is soft, curvilinear and dynamic; modern electronic devices are rigid, planar and everlasting. Innovations that eliminate this profound mismatch would create soft electronic devices with wide application opportunities in biomedical research, clinical health care,robotics, consumer appliances and many others. Through fundamental material and structural innovations, our research group aims to develop novel soft electronic systems to bring solutions to the grand challenges faced by our society, and also to inspire next-generation scientists and engineers. Our research program currently consists of the following three themes: (1) synthesis and manipulation of soft electronic materials, such as 2D materials, organic electronic materials and hydrogels; (2) fabrication and test of bio-inspired/bio-integrated electronic, optoelectronic and energy devices; (3) deterministic assembly of 3D electronic devices.

The group leader, Dr. Zheng Yan, received his Ph.D. from Rice University in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. James M.Tour. From 2014 to 2017, Dr. Yan was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign working with Prof. John A. Rogers on bio-integrated electronics. In Fall, 2017, Dr. Yan join the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University as an assistant professor. So far, Dr. Yan has published 45 peer-reviewed research papers in leading journals including Nature, Science, Science Advances, Nature Communications, PNAS, JACS, Advanced Materials,and ACS Nano. The total citations are more than 4000; his h-index is 29.


2. Requirements for Ph.D. students

  • Bachelor degree or above in electronics, physics, material science or related fields;

  • Highly self-motivated and euthanistic in research;

  • Excellent academic results;

  • Good skills in written and spoken English.


3. Requirements for Postdoc Researchers

  • Ph.D. degree in electronics, physics,material science or related fields;

  • Highly self-motivated and euthanistic in research;

  • Preferred research experiences in nanomaterials and devices, organic electronics, flexible electronics, or other related research areas;

  • Have published more than two research papers in leading journals;

  • Good skills in written and spoken English.
